This past weekend marked an exciting accomplishment for five 媚姬直播 cadets as they successfully completed their PADI Open Water Diver certification. After completing the required classroom instruction, training, and dive skills, all five cadets are now certified open water divers and able to explore underwater environments at depths of up to 60 feet.
Earning this certification takes more than simply learning how to scuba dive. Our cadets had to demonstrate dedication, responsibility, and the ability to master new skills both in and out of the water. After completing their initial training, they were able to put those skills into action while diving in a local lake and gaining firsthand experience of what scuba diving is really all about.
For Cadet Cameron Williams, the opportunity was something he had been looking forward to for years. 鈥淭his experience was incredible. I have been wanting to do this for several years and was excited when I had the chance to complete it my senior year. I hope to use these foundational skills to continue my pursuit of becoming a public safety diver!鈥 鈥 Cadet Cameron Williams
The accomplishment also represents another milestone for the CMA Scuba Diving Club, now in its third year. This group represents the fourth class of certified divers to come through the program, continuing to build on an opportunity that gives cadets the chance to learn skills they may not experience in a traditional school setting.
The adventure isn’t stopping with certification. The club is already looking ahead and planning a Spring 2027 dive trip, which will give cadets an opportunity to continue developing their skills while exploring new underwater environments. 鈥淚 am very proud of these cadets and hope they continue to build on their diving after they leave CMA.鈥 鈥 MAJ Mack Trapp
Whether scuba diving becomes a lifelong hobby, leads to a career like public safety diving, or simply becomes an experience these cadets will always remember, earning their Open Water certification is something they can be proud of. It is another example of how the 媚姬直播 Experience extends beyond the classroom, giving cadets opportunities to challenge themselves, discover new interests, and accomplish something they may have never thought possible.
